These earrings are hand carved from a tagua nut, a seed from a type of palm that grows in South American rainforests. Often known as vegetable ivory, tagua is an environmentally friendly alternative to animal ivory. The tagua components made by artisans of the MYA workshop in Quito, Ecuador, and the pieces are assembled in the UK.
