With overlocker (=serger) you can make beautifully finished seams, since the machine cuts the edge of the fabric while sewing. It’s especially handy for stretchy fabrics like jersey and sweat, because the seams made by an overlocker are elastic, but you can also use it for finishing woven materials. Four threads and a cutting edge make an overlocker a bit more complicated than a normal sewing machine, so join this Mini lesson to learn the basic functions of an overlocker – and get an idea what you should learn in future, if you wish to use it efficiently.

This mini lesson is free for our members and for non-members the cost is CHF 20 (including the Social Sewing afterwards until 9pm). Maximum number of participants is 8, so please sign up in advance to reserve your spot. The teaching is in English but Helka can also guide in German.

Members can you the discount code ‘member’ at the checkout.
