Open Sewing Course
Open Sewing Course is a social and creative course for people with refugee backgrounds. During the course, participants build up their sewing and German skills to ready themselves to join the community independently. The courses are free of charge and require no prior registration. Volunteers with expert sewing skills are present to guide the participants through the curriculum. Participants can join one course per week.

Social Lunch
Social Lunch takes place one per month. The Lunch is a dedicated time to come together and discuss matters related to the community.

Independent Sewing Hours
The atelier is opened for independent sewing. This means there is no teacher present, but you are welcome to work on your own project.

Social Sewing Course with guidance
Social Sewing Course runs weekly during the two semesters per year. It functions as the main social get-together for the members. Community Members work on their own sewing projects, while the course is led by an expert teacher offering guidance on the projects.

Sign In
In the atelier, you will find a yellow planner. Let the team know that you were participating in the course by writing your name under the current day.

Nametag
Wear a nametag and introduce yourself. Get to know others. The nametag can be made either by hand from felt and thread or temporarily crafted with tape and pen.

Cleaning
We sew together, we clean up together. Take care to clean up after yourself. Put tools back in their proper place, and clean the floor of pins, threads, etc.
