We are thrilled with our new website design, which was designed by the wonderful Anja Neumann at laufweite.ch. Anja is particularly interested in working with startups, and working with her has been simply great. We are still putting the final touches on our logo, but we expect that to be finished by the end of the week.
We also want to call out to our community for a new programme that we will be piloting in July and August. We are working together with the Refugee Startup project (www.refugeestartup.wordpress.com) to recruit several refugees for a training and exchange programme during the summer. As part of this programme, we would be happy to find some volunteers among the Social Fabric community who would be interested in spending around five hours a month doing a tandem exchange with a refugee. The idea would be to spend time doing activities that are of common interest to both parties – for example, you could come to our drop in sewing hours, cook, or work on computer skills together. The overall aim from our side is to create an inclusive space where knowledge between people from different cultural backgrounds can be exchanged. Please send us an email at email@example.com if you think you might like to be involved.
We will post an updated sewing class schedule soon. In the meantime, we have a spot left in our made-to-measure tunic workshop which starts on Thursday (May 11th). Let us know if you’d like to sign up.
Have a great start to the week,
