In this five-part course, you will learn how to sew elastic fabric like jersey using a regular sewing machine and an overlock machine. You will learn how to sew curves and corners, how to change the threads and adjust the stitch for different materials. You’ll finish edges with a band or hem with an overlocker or normal sewing machine with a double needle. You will also learn how to end the seams so that they will not unravel, and how to unpick seams when you make a mistake.
After having practiced the basics, you will be confident to put your skills into practice and execute your own project from jersey (for example a t-shirt, a pullover, a skirt, a dress, or pyjama trousers).
No previous experience required – all levels, including beginners, are welcome!
